Matharu and mud
Trekked to a mud volcano which is used by local wildlife as a mineral/salt lick. I decided to get right in and tried burying myself! Couldn't be bothered to put my clothes back on and trekked back as is with hat, glasses, shorts and boots. At least the mud covering kept the leeches at bay! One of the few occasions that I wasn't "leeched". Luckily our local guide carried all of my other clothes and camera equipment.
We soon came across this dirt road when a vehicle filled with locals drove by and they gave us some funny looks...can't think why! Had a wash and swim in the river to remove all that mud when return back to the lodge. Tabin Wildlife Reserve, Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia. Photo taken in March 2008.
